Kamal Nasser
Palestinian poet, political leader, and PLO spokesman known for powerful verses and dedication to the Palestinian cause.
Kamal Nasser, born in Gaza in 1924, was a prominent Palestinian poet and political figure. Educated at the American University of Beirut, he became a teacher and journalist before entering politics. Nasser served in the Jordanian parliament and later joined the PLO, becoming a member of its Executive Committee and head of media efforts. His poetry, which gained wide recognition, often addressed themes of Palestinian identity and resistance. Nasser's life was cut short in 1973 when he was assassinated in Beirut by Israeli forces. His legacy as both a poet and political leader continues to inspire Palestinians[3][7].
